okay so when should you do all of these beauty treatments, like what time of day or before you shave or go swimming or have a shower!? And what do each of them do for your body and skin?
thankyou!When should you exfoliate/moisturize/cleanse?
CLEANSING:
You need to find a good cleanser that your skin responds well to, and stick with it.
Avoid bar soaps as they tend to dry out the skin. I hared that soap should only ever touch the skin from the neck down, however many people use soap on their face. Most cleansers contain oil, water and 'surfactants'. The oil dissolves oil on your face, surfactants dissolve dirt and makeup and the water washes it all away. Too much on your skin will clog pores, while too little will dry it out. This is why you need to know your skin type.
Be careful not to cleanse too often. Washing at night should do you. In the morning, a splash of lukewarm water is all you need. It's great for removing excess oils from your nightly moisturizing. Never wash your face with hot or cold water (both can cause broken capillaries). Also be careful about overcleansing skin.
WASHING YOUR FACE:
Use warm water to loosen dirt and clogged pores. Use a small blob of cleanser, then rinse with cool or lukewarm water. You'll also want to take off your makeup with a proper makeup remover.
EXFOLIATION:
Exfoliation is the step most people skip in their weekly skincare routine. But trust me, if you start properly exfoliating your skin, you will notice an almost immediate difference. There are several ways to exfoliate skin: Microdermabrasion, chemical peels and retinoids.
HOW SCRUBS WORK:
Scrubs work by removing the top layer of dead skin cells that tend to dull your complexion. Exfoliating skin once a week with a microdermabrasion kit keeps skin glowing year-round. Make sure you use a gentle scrub with tiny grains. Big grains in cheap scrubs can tear skin and cause more harm than good.
MOISTURIZING:
A basic law of beauty is that everyone, no matter her skin type, should moisturize. Even if your skin is oily, it will benefit from moisturizers. (The only exception is those with acne). Moisturizers seal moisture into skin. Your skin will tell you how much you need to moisturize. When your skin is tight, it's crying out for moisture. Be careful not to overmoisturize as this can cause clogged pores.
TONERS:
Toners are meant to remove all remaining traces of oil, makeup and dirt, but a good cleanser should do this.
Hope this helps you! When should you exfoliate/moisturize/cleanse?
I cleanse tone and moisturise everyday before i go to bed...
I exfoliate every week!
Cleansing gets rid of all the dirt on your skin, toning helps reduce pores and get rid of oil, and moisturising softens your skin...
I use dove fresh touch soap... which seems to have got rid of my spots! I use clean and clear oil free moisturiser which is great if you have spots or oily skin!
do all those things before u go to bed. during the night, our cells rejuvenate and vitamin E creams are the best to use.. lightly not a hugh chunk.. the skin need to breath.. In the middle of the day, our body sort of expand a bit, so avoid shoe shopping..
exfoliate only when our skin are fully wet, not after just a splash of water..
